Our Finnish sauna and whirlpool are the perfect way to soothe your muscles and rejuvenate your body after an active day. With stunning views of the surrounding mountains, you can relax in our outdoor wellness area and soak up the fresh mountain air. Prepare for the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation.

A Finnish sauna is a type of sauna that harnesses the power of dry heat. The humidity is typically kept around 5-20% and the temperature is set around 80-100ºC.

Sauna schedule

Every day from 10.00 – 20.00

Instructions on how to use the sauna.

Sauna has to be booked in advance at our reception. Sauna needs 40 minutes ho heat up. We suggest that you make your reservation on your day of arrival or before your arrival.

Sauna

Using a sauna has long been considered one of the most healing and pleasant forms of relaxation. Regular use of the sauna has positive effects on both the physical and mental well-being of the user.

However, when using a sauna, it is necessary to know a couple of things that every user should know.

Common risks

You may be at risk when using a sauna if you have the following conditions. Always consult your doctor before using a sauna if you have:

  • High blood pressure or heart problems. Sauna makes your heart work harder than usual;
  • Known medical conditions. Some of these include high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, abnormal heart rhythm, angina and other conditions.

Also pay attention to the following:

  • You just finished your workout. After a strenuous workout, your heart rate should first drop to a resting level.
  • Recently consumed alcohol or recreational drugs. Using a sauna afterwards can affect your heart, reduce sweating and cause you to overheat.
  • You are taking certain medications. Do not use the sauna if you are taking medications that affect your body’s ability to regulate temperature or make you drowsy.
  • You are pregnant. Using a sauna during pregnancy can cause dizziness, dehydration or lower blood pressure.

SAFETY TIPS

If you can use a sauna, follow these safety tips:

  • Sessions should be short

You can build up your heat tolerance with multiple visits. Limit sessions to 15 to 20 minutes. Even healthy individuals should limit their sauna time to 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Monitor how you feel

If you are sensitive to heat, feel dizzy, nauseous or start to feel discomfort, leave the sauna immediately.

  • Cooling down

There is a long Finnish tradition of going straight from the sauna to the snow, but cooling down gradually is easier. For a less extreme way to cool your body, take a cold or cool shower. Bonus: this also removes any impurities your body has eliminated and prevents them from being reabsorbed

  • Rest

Relax for at least ten minutes after the sauna. Allow your body to recover before doing the hot, cold, relaxation circuit again.

  • Stay hydrated

Always hydrate before and drink two to four glasses of cold water after each session. Drink mineral water or juice to replace electrolytes lost through sweat.

  • Consider the buddy system

It’s not a bad idea to go to the sauna with a friend or family member to have someone’s back if problems arise. In addition, the sauna is a social affair.

  • Consider your health

The heat of the sauna makes the heart work faster. Reasons to avoid sauna are heart problems, pregnancy, high or low blood pressure, etc. If you have any concerns, consult your doctor first.

  • Never drink alcohol before going to sauna or in the sauna

Also, don’t enter immediately after a large meal or strenuous exercise.

  • Be aware that saunas can burn

Too much time in the sauna at too high a temperature can cause blisters. If your skin starts to burn, get out.

  • Listen to your body

If you start to feel dizzy, nauseous or have a headache, leave immediately. There is no point in straining the body to the extreme – especially not in the name of well-being. Moderation is key.

  • Remove jewelry

Metal jewelry, including rings and small earrings, can heat up very quickly and cause skin irritation or burns.

  • Protect your hair

The heat in the sauna can leave your hair dry and brittle. A towel or shower cap can protect them.

  • Dress appropriately

It is a good idea to wear loose clothing, a bathing suit or a towel, as heavy clothing can cause overheating

  • Bringing food and drink into the sauna is prohibited

After finishing the sauna, rest and cool down. Lie down or sit for at least 10 minutes, then take a cold shower to bring your body temperature back to normal.

Using a sauna can be very good for your body and relaxing if used safely.

Hot tube schedule

Every day from 10.00 – 20.00

To use hot tub, please make reservation in advance at our reception. We suggest that you make your reservation on your day of arrival or before your arrival.

Instructions on how to use hot tube:

HOT TUB SAFETY: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Using a hot tub can have a positive effect on your health and well-being if you follow reasonable guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself, your family and other guests. Emphasizing safety will increase enjoyment and eliminate the possibility of accidents or injuries. With that in mind, here are the safety rules that every hot tub user should know.

Right time, right temperature

As wonderful as soaking in a hot tub feels, staying in the hot water for too long can cause overheating or other health problems. Most experts recommend not staying in a hot tub for more than 15 to 20 minutes at a time.

The water temperature in the hot tub should not be higher than 40 °C. Most hot tub users prefer temperatures between 37°C and 39°C. So find the ideal water temperature.

Limit soaking time in the hot tub for children under 10 is from 5 to 10 minutes at a time and set the temperature no higher than 35°C.

Pregnant women should consult their doctor before using a hot tub for advice on whether it is advisable.

Similarly, individuals with heart disease, high blood pressure, or other serious medical conditions should not enter a hot tub without a doctor’s approval.

Avoid using alcohol, drugs or other illegal substances

It is best to avoid alcohol, drugs or other illegal substances when using the hot tub.

Hydration is important, so offset the effects of sweating with water (in bottles or plastic glasses, as glass near the hot tub is a hazard).

Be careful with the effects of prescription drugs. If you are taking medication that can make you sleepy, avoid using a hot tub, as soaking in warm water can increase the sleepy effect. If you are in doubt as to whether the medicine is compatible with the use of a hot tub, consult your doctor.

Supervise the children

Always supervise children and make sure they know the safety rules.

Remind them to sit and keep their head above water at all times.

Show teenagers how to turn off the power in an emergency.

Instruct younger and older children not to run or misbehave in or near the hot tub.

Remind children to stay away from the drain so that their hair, swimwear does not become entangled in the drain cover.

Keep the area safe

The area around hot tubs can be susceptible to slips and falls, so be careful when walking. Make sure you secure or cover the hot tub cover when the hot tub is not in use.

Other rules:

  • Bringing food and drinks into the hot tub is strictly prohibited;
  • Before using the massage tub, it is mandatory to use the shower;
  • Remove skin care products for hygiene reasons;
  • Do not use perfumes or thick products;
  • Wear a bathing suit;
  • It is forbidden to urinate in the hot tub.

ACCESS BARS THERAPY

Through 32 points on the head, Access Bars gently stimulates the brain to enter the theta state, which is a deep relaxation state that promotes self-healing and regeneration.

Let access bars therapy open your mind to new possibilities by removing energy patterns, unconscious programs, and unhealthy attachments and bringing calm, clear thoughts and deep body relaxation. The beauty and advantage of this technique are that the process can unfold without returning to the trauma. And everything that we manage to remove, erase, never comes back.

The technique regenerates our bodies and gently improves our lives. There is scientific proof that bars work. Eliminate everything that hinders and limits you.

ABOUT THE THERAPIST

My name is Renata. I incorporate the access bars technique into everything I do and who I am. I have tried many healing methods, such as tapping, pranotherapy, and scalar steam therapy. Bars have proven to be the most pleasant, light, deep, effective, and transformative of all. What I love the most about access bars therapy is how it makes people’s lives change for the better, how they let go of what they couldn’t do before, and how blockages disappear.

Everyone has a talent, and mine is to help people heal, to transform. I have done a lot of initiations to support me in this quest, and I also belong to the 24th generation of the Mayan healing family of curanderos (healers) from Guatemala.
